Dr. Krista Genoway

Dr. Genoway is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has been working in Plastic Surgery for over a decade.  She completed her medical training and Plastic Surgery residency at the University of British Columbia.  She then went on to complete a fellowship in reconstruction and microvascular surgery in San Francisco California. She has always enjoyed working with her hands and was quickly drawn to the huge positive impact plastic surgery can make on people’s lives.

In her surgical practice, Dr. Genoway enjoys the collaborative aspect of her specialty and frequently collaborates with colleagues on oncologic breast cancer care and gender affirmation surgery. Her practice is diverse and includes; cosmetic surgery, trauma & hand reconstruction, microvascular surgery and gender affirmation surgery.

She is a great listener and works hard to empower her patients. Medical ethics are fundamental to her. In her position, she is diligent in her attention to detail and rigorous in her surgical precision. As a female surgeon, she feels she can relate to the desire to appear as good on the exterior as one feels on the inside, and she has a unique perspective on the subject. Additionally, she endeavors to be inclusive in her caring for others.

Dr. Genoway is also active in the medical community, she has been an invited guest speaker on many occasions and serves on the executive for the BCMA Section of Plastic Surgery.

Living in the lower mainland with her young family, Dr. Genoway enjoys skiing, hiking and biking in her spare time.
